Trans Support Hub LGBTQ+ Clothes Swap

This event

If you don't have clothes to swap but you want to take clothes, that's fine! We'll be taking financial donations of £2 per item to Trans Support Hub CIC.

We've already got plenty of donations from our previous events, so whether you arrive at the start or the end of the event, we'll have items to choose from. Once you've paid for entry, you can exit and return as much as you want, so you see what new swaps there are throughout the event.

We try to recycle clothes where possible, but we would really appreciate it if you could check that donations are clean and in good condition (i.e. not bobbled, ripped or stained).

Where possible, we try to provide more specialist trans-related items, such as binders and chest enhancers. If you've got any, we'd really appreciate it as they don't stay with us for long.

There will be a changing room and a mirror or you're welcome to use the toilets downstairs if you'd prefer.

We have some packing boxers and packers in stock available for purchase.

Why Clothes Swaps?

Clothes swaps are a great way to explore your style, help others and give clothes a second home.

About us

We've been hosting these events since July 2022, and it's been heartwarming to see so many people exploring their style, their gender, or simply revamping their wardrobe for something fresh. We're incredibly proud to support our community. Not to mention how many clothes we've saved from the landfill.

We'll be taking pictures to promote the work we do and future events. Please let us know if you don't want us to take your picture.

Can you attend if you're not LGBTQ+?

There is no way for us to tell who is LGBTQ+ and who isn't. But we do have a strict safe space policy. Anyone who isn't respectful to our community will be asked to leave promptly.

Do you have to be trans/ non-binary/ gender variant or gender incongruent to attend?

Absolutely not. We tailor our clothes swaps to be a safe place for those who are.

Can you bring children?

Unfortunately not because we have items like packers and gaffs and need this to be a space where adults can talk about bodies, which are conversations that might not be suitable for little ears.
