Trans Island Alliance Picnic

Hi! We're the Trans Island Alliance and we put together social events for Trans and Nonbinary people in Staten Island. We are hosting a picnic in Alice Austen Park on Saturday May 16th from 12pm-4pm (rain date is Saturday May 23rd). The event is completely free and for all ages.

This event is for Trans, Nonbinary, Gender-Expansive and Gender Non-Conforming people, as well as those who are questioning their gender identity. If you identify as any of those things, you are welcome to attend! If you do not, we politely ask that you refrain from attending to preserve the intention of the space. We encourage cis allies to instead consider donating on our instagram at @transislandalliance to support our work.

We are willing to make exceptions as needed; for example, for cis parents of gender-expansive youth, or other cis people whose presence would help support a gender-expansive loved one. There will be music, games, and an accessory swap! Feel free to bring anything you'd like to eat or drink but no alcohol please as the event is all ages. Also feel free to bring any gently used jewelry, pins, bags, watches, wallets, or other items that need a new home!
