Trail Work Volunteering

What will you do?

Join us for some rock work to repair the culvert, overflow stream, and the trail at the footbridge just up from Gate 1 on the Whitmore Creek Trail.

Enter at Gate 1 at the corner of Winthrop St and Playstead Rd in Medford, across from Oak Hill Cemetery. We’ll be lifting, moving, and fitting rocks into place. Long pants and sturdy shoes are recommended, as well as a hat, a waterbottle, bugspray, and gloves. If you have a shovel or a wheelbarrow, those would be helpful as well. All other tools will be supplied.

If there's too much snow, we’ll do a tour of culvert and drainage issues, which will be a 3-4 mile hike with some culvert clearing along the way.

Please park along Playstead Road or take bus 134 from Wellington Station or 95 from Sullivan Station.
