Traditional Altar Exhibitions “Dia de los Muertos” | LAHM 25

Celebrate the rich heritage of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with Latincouver at our Traditional Altar Installation. This exhibition invites the community to honor and remember loved ones while experiencing one of Mexico’s most symbolic and UNESCO-recognized traditions.

The altar will be curated by talented Mexican artist Paloma Morales, who will bring to life a beautiful and meaningful ofrenda (altar) filled with color, symbolism, and cultural depth.

Visitors are encouraged to bring photos or small tributes of their departed loved ones to place on the altar, creating a shared space of memory and reflection.

Latin American Heritage Month (LAHM) Festival is an annual celebration in BC that highlights the rich cultural diversity, traditions, and contributions of Latin American communities. Organized by , a non-profit that connects Latin American and Canadian cultures, the festival runs from the middle of October to the beginning of November and features a variety of activities, including music, dance performances, film screenings, art exhibitions, and culinary experiences.
