About this Event
The series “Ritmos del Corazón” (The Heart’s Rhythm) by Mexican artist Mauricio Silerio captures vibrant images from parades, rituals, and traditional festivities across Mexico. Through his lens, folkloric groups from diverse regions are celebrated in their cultural expression.
Ancient traditional dances are more than representations of joy. They carry ancestral knowledge and serve as a bridge of communication between generations. Often, these dances were intended to reach across realms—connecting with ancestors, invoking divine beings, and uniting heaven and earth, the divine and the mortal.
This exhibition offers a profound journey into the role of tradition, memory, and spirituality in Mexican culture.
