About this Event
Tower Hamlets Srebrenica Genocide Memorial 2026
“ We Are Here”
Join us for the Tower Hamlets Srebrenica Memorial 2026 as we come together to remember the victims of the Srebrenica genocide and reflect on the importance of standing against hate, prejudice, and division in our communities.
“We Are Here” represents the voices of genocide survivors who have endured profound loss, yet continue to stand with dignity, courage, and strength.
This commemorative event will bring together Council & faith representatives, inspirational speakers, staff and local residents to honour those who lost their lives, share reflections, and promote unity, understanding, and resilience. Through speeches, personal reflections, and moments of remembrance, we aim to ensure that the lessons of Srebrenica are never forgotten.
In today’s climate, it is more important than ever to reaffirm our collective commitment to challenging hate in all its forms and to building a more inclusive and compassionate society.
