About this Event
[Actual date is still subject to change]
Join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of one of the Bay Area's most innovative housing conversion projects: a 50-unit transformation of a former Motel 6 in Richmond, CA into permanent supportive housing.
Funded through California's Project HomeKey initiative and developed in partnership with the City of Richmond, this project demonstrates what's possible when mission-driven development meets efficient construction.
As the interior fit-out partner on this project, Kit Switch will host this tour to showcase how ready-to-install, all-in-one kitchen systems helped deliver high-quality, ADA-accessible interiors, installed in hours rather than days, and with less waste and lower cost risk.
You'll see firsthand:
- Completed studio units with fully installed Kit Switch interior modules
- ADA-accessible kitchen designs built for dignified, long-term living
- How a productized interior approach compressed schedule and simplified trade coordination
- A replicable model for future affordable housing conversions across California
This tour is open to developers, architects, general contractors, and housing advocates interested in the future of affordable housing delivery.
Hard hats and safety vests required, we'll have a few extras on hand.
