⚓ Seahorse Shanty Circle: A relaxed evening of singing together ⚓
Join us for another evening of sea shanties, maritime songs and traditional folk favourites at The Bay Horse Inn, Totnes.
This is a friendly, informal singalong where everyone is welcome. Whether you are a seasoned singer or have never sung in a group before, come along and join in. There is no pressure to perform, just a chance to share songs, have a drink, and enjoy singing together.
🎶 Songbooks will also be available on the night.

Our songbook is available online, so you can browse the songs in advance, choose something you’d like to sing, read through the lyrics, or practice beforehand: https://shorturl.at/TJTau
We take turns leading and everyone is welcome to give it a go - or just sing along to the chorus.
If you’d like to lead a song on the night, to reserve it and make sure your on the list, put your name and your chosen song in the discussion section of this event page or let us know in the Seahorse Shanty Circle group.
Don’t see a song you want to lead in the songbook? Let us know. You are welcome to bring a song along on printed lyric sheets for people to join in.
While this is a group singalong, there is always room for individual singers or small groups to share a song too. If you have a solo, duet or group performance you’d like to offer, we’d love to hear it.
The spirit of the circle is simple: everyone contributes, everyone joins in, and everyone helps keep the songs sailing.
