EXPERIENCE THE MAGIC OF CONTACT IMPROVISATION
Dive into a dance where touch, momentum, and connection fuel spontaneous movement. Contact Improvisation is more than just a technique—it’s a playful, interactive experience. Feel the thrill of balancing with a partner, listen, and sense moving in sync. It’s about real connection, real people, and presence. Come feel, play, and explore in a consent-based community that celebrates movement and communication through Contact Improvisation!

DAY AND TIME:
Weekly on Tuesdays
6:00 pm - Arrival and warmup
6:15 pm to 7:15 pm - Contact improvisation class
7:15 pm to 8:45 pm Contact Improvisation Jam Practice.

COMMUNITY SOCIAL
8:45 pm to 9:45 pm (Last Tuesday of the month Sept to June...see date above)
There is an after-jam event potluck-social and some times a community performance, or movie night.

NEWCOMERS TO CONTACT IMPROVISATION
You can join any time but a great day to join is the last Tuesday of the month (Sept to June) because we will have an onboarding Fundamental skills workshop:
6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in studio adjacent to the main hall.

Membership rates:
$39 - monthly regular
$70 Donation membership (at end of year receive tax receipts for 55% of you monthly fee)
Members get:

PHYSICAL ACCESS
Rafos Hall is wheelchair-accessible with wheelchair-accessible washrooms right next to the dance studio. The entrance is barrier-free.
Use the Jackman Avenue entrance that has a ramp.

HEALTH
Please do not attend if you are sick
Masking is optional (Please know the community who attends this jam tends toward 90% not wearing masks and 10% wearing masks ratio)
Contagious skin issues or open wounds need to be covered by a medical-grade covering
