About this Event
E-Bikes are transforming urban transportation, offering a clean, affordable and efficient mode of travel. E-bikes open up cycling to people of all ages and abilities, allow you to get further, faster, all while helping us fight climate change.
But with any new technology comes growing pains. TCBC wants to see the continued growth in the use of e-bikes by addressing issues with weight, acceleration and speeds which may intimidate other road users.
Join us at 6:30pm on Tuesday March 24 for an evening of discussions on bike design, the existing regulatory regime and the future of e-bike regulation - particularly when it comes to avoiding unproductive restrictions such as in condos.
Albert Koehl is an environmental lawyer and the author of wheeling through Toronto, a History of the Bike and Its Rides
Lance Le Roux, is on the Board of Directors of Community Bikeways, and an advocate for e-bikes in Condos
