Toronto 7T MRI Opening Scientific Symposium
About this Event
Toronto 7T MRI Facility Opening Scientific Symposium
Join us at the Vaughan Estate on October 22, 2026 at 9:00 AM (Eastern Daylight Time) for an exciting two-day symposium diving into the latest in 7T MRI research and technology.
This inaugrual symposium marks the launch of one of only three human 7T MRI facilities in Canada and offers a first look at the research, clinical applications, and collaborative opportunities enabled by this advanced technology by bringing together leading Canadian and international experts in ultra-high-field neuroimaging.
What you will gain:
- Insight into cutting-edge 7T MRI methods and applications
- Opportunities to engage with facility leadership and potential collaborators
- Special first look behind the research, opportunities, and capabilities
Why this matters:
Ultra-high-field (7T) MRI enables higher spatial resolution, improved contrast, and new ways to investigate brain structure and function that are not possible at 1.5 and 3T. The Toronto 7T MRI Facility is a shared resource across six academic hospitals and the University of Toronto, designed to accelerate discovery and enable new collaborations across neuroscience and clinical research.
What to expect:
- Keynote lectures from international leaders in 7T MRI
- Scientific sessions covering methods, applications, and translational research
- Networking opportunities with researchers across Toronto and beyond
- Introduction to facility access, capabilities, and collaboration pathways
