About this Event
Join us for a live interview with ASICS athlete and Olympian, Deena Kastor!
Deena is one of the most accomplished distance runners in U.S. history, best known for winning the bronze medal in the marathon at the 2004 Athens Olympics—the first American Olympic medal in the event in 20 years. She’s also a Chicago Marathon champion, multiple-time national champion, and former American record holder in the marathon.
This event will feature a live-interview, where Deena will share stories from her career, insights on mindset and training, and lessons learned from competing at the highest level. Post talk will feature a meet and greet.
After the talk, Deena will lead the Blue Jean Mile contingent of the 50 West Mile. The Blue Jean Mile raises awareness for mental health by encouraging open conversation, connection, and support through movement. Participants run or walk the mile in denim as a symbol of unity and a reminder that it’s okay to talk about mental well-being and prioritize it in our daily lives. Those who would like to join can sign up here.
Whether you're a seasoned runner or just getting started, this is a chance to connect, learn, and be part of something bigger than the run.
