💥SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT 💥We are very excited to announce our new Top Dog Therapy Team Youth Volunteer Training Program!!
This ten week course will be available starting September and will be instructed by Rodney Little from Top Dog along with his assistant, therapy, trainers, therapy handlers, and of course, numerous Top Dog therapy dogs!!
Youngwood Top Dog has been the sole training company for The Top Dog Therapy Team and has helped perfect their training program and operations to better serve our community now it’s time to take their program to the next level by offering a youth program for children between the ages of 10 and 17 years old.

This Wednesday evening class will be from 6 to 7 PM for 10 consecutive weeks. All kids must achieve minimum eight classes out of ten to meet the credits to be able to graduate part of the permanent Top Dog Therapy Team Youth Volunteer Training Team. (Make up classes can be scheduled)
This 10 week program is $300 per student. we could take up a total of 15 students 50% is due at registration. The other 50% will be due the first day of class.
We do accept, cash, cards, checks, or PayPal. This program and all other training programs are non-refundable and non-transferable to other classes or programs however, we do understand if you have to miss a week or two or need to make up.

Socialization and desensitization/temperament

Basic Obedience Training 1

Therpay dog vs Service dogs/therapy working mode
Week 8
Therapy Dog Public work
Week 9
Therpay Dogs in Public 2
Week 10
Therapy Dog Training/conclusion
Each student/parent will receive a manual to take home each week that will have a homework assignment for the kids to work on every week between classes.
Each student will be invited back to three meetings per year with all other Youth Program volunteers for continued training and education. You will also be invited to represent our team at some of our public events. There will be no charge for any ongoing education and training after the 10 week program has met his conclusion.
Once the youth has become 18 years of age, they then would be eligible to join our adult team as full members and go through in advanced therapy training program with previous credits.
All parents must sign a waiver for their children for this program. Parents are more than welcome to stay with their kids each week for the class and trainings or they are more than welcome to drop them off and leave them under our care and pick them up after the class is over.
All students will get there pictures taken, and they will all be issued a Top Dog Therapy Team youth trainer ID badge!
All students will also be eligible to order Team swag and gear from our website!
