About this Event
BRIG, Beyond Racism, Unite the People and Stand Up to Racism Birmingham are joining forces to organise transport to the Together Alliance national mobilisation against the rise of the far right.
A coach will be departing from Digbeth, and all are warmly invited to join it.
Across the UK and beyond, we are witnessing a worrying rise in far-right rhetoric, racist scapegoating and attempts to divide our communities. Ideas that once sat on the fringes are increasingly being normalised in public debate, on social media, and even within mainstream politics. Migrants, refugees, Muslims, Jewish communities, Black communities and other minoritised groups are being targeted and blamed for wider social and economic problems they did not create.
History shows us that when racism and far-right ideologies go unchallenged, they grow. Silence allows hate to become embedded and discrimination to become normalised. That is why we must stand together — in solidarity, across communities — to say clearly and confidently that racism and fascism have no place in our city or our society.
The Together Alliance national mobilisation is an opportunity to show that the majority stand for unity, equality and justice. By turning out in large numbers, we send a powerful message: attempts to divide us will fail, and we will stand shoulder to shoulder to stop the far right in their tracks.
Join us on the coach from The BRIG Cafe at the Warehouse and be part of a collective stand for a fairer, safer and more united future.
