On the holiday of Tisha B'Av, we mourn the destruction of the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem, the expulsions of the Jews from England in 1290 and Spain in 1492, and many other tragedies that have befallen the Jewish people on this day throughout history.

Our evening will begin with dinner, followed by a screening and discussion of Theodor Herzl: The Man Behind Israel. In this thought-provoking documentary, David Baddiel examines the life and legacy of Theodor Herzl, the visionary founder of modern Zionism, and explores how his dream of a Jewish homeland shaped the creation of the State of Israel and continues to influence the challenges and conflicts of today.
Following the film, we will come together for a Tisha B'Av Ma'ariv service (in-person or via livestream) including the reading of the Megillat Eicha, the Scroll of Lamentations.
