Tiny Tin Mixed Media
Students will learn how to construct and design on a small scale, turning everyday items into art. Instruction includes safely drilling, hammering, bending wire, shaping nails into flowers and fence posts, and creating button trees using thread, wire, and glue. Reclaimed metal elements may be incorporated to form paths, textures, and architectural details, while houses can be painted, collaged, or layered with mixed-media surfaces.
Throughout the workshop, students will explore foundational design principles including composition, balance, and basic color theory, while working across both wood and metal surfaces. A wide assortment of curated papers, paints, vintage fragments, and found materials will be available, allowing each piece to evolve into a truly personal and expressive artwork.
No two pieces will ever be alike. Each tin becomes a small story, a tiny world, and a lasting reminder of how imagination can transform the ordinary into something extraordinary.
**End time may vary depending each artist’s creative pace**
Price
