The Santa Cruz Children’s Museum of Discovery is turning 10 and we’re thrilled to honor a Decade of Discovery in our community. In today’s rapidly changing world, children are facing unique challenges. Our museum provides a safe, stimulating environment where families with young children can imagine, explore, learn, and develop essential skills through the power of play. The early years are critical for shaping the learning that will carry children into their futures and our museum plays a crucial role in equipping families with the tools they need to boost the children of our county into bright futures.
Over the past year alone, more than 50,000 visitors have explored our hands-on exhibits, attended our science, arts, and engineering programs, and discovered the joy play and discovery can create in childhood. As we celebrate this milestone and look ahead to the future, we are excited to embark on a journey of growth. Over the next decade, we plan to expand our facilities, and continue developing our exhibits and programming, as we transform into the kind of museum our community needs—a beacon for the young families who will drive the future of Santa Cruz County.
