Tim Hortons Free Summer Concerts - LJ Mounteney

The LJ Mounteney Blues & R&B Band delivers a high-energy, soulful, and groove filled nod to the legends of Rhythm and Blues, including Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Wonder. Mounteney recently released her sophomore album “Mama Danced”. The album was produced by Jack Lavin (founding member of Powder Blues Band), who called LJ “One of the greatest singers I’ve ever worked with”. This group features veteran musicians Jon Roper (guitar), Allan Dionne (drums), and Linda Kidder (bass and vocals), who was a long time member of kd lang’s band. Joining LJ for this special show is renowned Victoria saxophonist Paul Wainwright, who, along with his own band, has worked with Michael Buble, Stevie Nicks, and Martha Reeves. In addition to this project, Mounteney lends her bluesy and vibrant vocals to several high profile Vancouver groups (Zappostrophe’, Get Back Unplugged and Van Django).
