Our Matchbox AI Matching Night is landing at Zephyr Bar in West End — a new leafy rooftop pavilion tucked above The Montague Hotel, where handcrafted cocktails, share plates and a retractable roof set the scene for a little mystery under the Brisbane sky.
This isn’t speed dating.This isn’t awkward name tags.This is intentional, value-based matching powered by relationship science, AI and behavioural economics — with just enough intrigue to keep things exciting.
It’s perfect if you’re looking for something that still feels relaxed and social, but slightly more facilitated than our regular bar mixers. You’ll be placed into values-aligned groups based on your questionnaire responses, creating space for both romantic sparks and genuine new friendships.

On arrival, you’ll complete a short questionnaire designed by Matchbox’s relationship scientists and curated by your host.
The algorithm then:

You must arrive before 7:45pm to be included in the AI matching.

If your match isn’t instant sparks, that’s okay. Matchbox prioritises long-term compatibility and shared values over surface-level attraction.
Either way, you’ll meet a vibrant group of under 35 singles in a relaxed, respectful environment.
We aim to maintain a 50/50 gender split where possible. If numbers are uneven, some matches may be paired platonically — and in that case, you’ll receive a free ticket to a future Matchbox event of your choice.
