This intermediate wheel class is designed for potters who are comfortable with the basics and ready to level up and begin making closed forms with lids that fit. This workshop will focus on two different techniques- the closed form lid technique and throwing off the hump. All clay and tools needed will be provided and bisque firing will be available for any pieces you wish to keep. You're invited to save any bisqueware for upcoming glaze classes as glazing is not a part of this workshop.
"I believe that students should have fun while learning & that a pottery class should elicit smiles and laughter. The goal of my class will be to make everyone feel valued and successful with the hope that they will want to continue on their pottery journey." - Pat Wise
Please note, this workshop is for intermediate throwers who are comfortable with the basics of throwing. Instruction will focus on how you can add a new skillset of making pieces with well-fitting lids.
Please wear clothes you’re okay with getting messy and plan to remove all jewelry. Long hair will need to be pulled back and short nails are recommended.
