About this Event
"Thrive: The Journey of Poetically Healing" is an inspiring one-woman show that explores the transformative journey of a resilient women rediscovering her power after having a double mastectomy. Her poetic story of strength, resilience, and healing bring awareness to the struggles of those diagnosed with breast cancer and the impact it has on one’s intimate relationship.
The show emphasizes the importance of empowering women to rise and shine and reconnect with their love of self by embracing their “new normal” despite feelings of loss, hurt and uncertainty.
This performance serves as both a tribute to those who have battled breast cancer and an uplifting message of strength and transformation for all who seek to embrace life with renewed vitality and courage.
Please note: This one-act play is approximately 20-minutes with a Q &A to follow. Guest will also have time to socialize and if desired, purchase the book, Rise and Shine: How to Live a life of Resilience and Perform at Your Potential" as well as the poetry cd, "Resilient I Am."

Michelle joined LAWTF’s talented roster of 22 female performers in 2026 at Theatre 68 in North Hollywood, California. This year marked 33 years of diverse programming that has included well over 700 performers from around the globe who have brought their performances from the continents of North America, South America, Africa, Europe, Asia and Australia and nationally from America.
Michelle was competitively selected to present an excerpt from her very moving solo show, “Thrive.” Her presented work brought light to the sensitive theme of breast cancer.
