About this Event
We invite you to the Minnesota premiere of Safe Outdoors, a short documentary by BairStories, on Tuesday, September 1st from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at North Hennepin Community College in Brooklyn Park.
Safe Outdoors follows Derrell, a 19-year-old an aspiring teacher, raised in a household where safety meant staying close to home. He takes his first real trip into the wild and discovers the adventure heβs been searching for at the Dream Big 2.0 outdoor summit. This film looks at what access to nature means when it has never been available to you and what becomes possible when it finally is.
Dream Big 2.0 features college students, educators, and community members from across Minnesota, including North Hennepin Community College, Winona State University, Minnesota State Mankato, Hamline University, St. Olaf College, and the University of Minnesota, brought together in one shared landscape.
The screening will be followed by a panel conversation with students and educators from the film. We hope you'll join us.
