Hi, I'm Natalie. I'm a bestselling author and creative writing teacher from here in Austin.

In this three-day workshop, we'll be going over the fundamentals of telling a great story - be that a novel, a screenplay, a short story, etc.

On Day One (Friday, 6 PM - 8 PM), we'll spend time:

- Getting to know each other

- & warming up our creative brains

On Day Two (Saturday, 1 PM - 5 PM) we'll go over:

- Plot

- Character

- and Dialogue

On Day Three (Sunday, 1 PM - 5 PM), we'll cover:

- Setting / Description

- Voice / Narrator

- and Writing Style

Day One will be short - just two hours long. We'll just take this evening to connect as a group, share what we're working on, and warm up our brains for the weekend.

Days two and three will be four hours long, with a long break in the middle to get up, walk around, have a snack, stretch our legs.

Each day will be filled with lessons on each element of storytelling, but also lots of writing, planning your story, interactive games, and connection.

It will be a weekend full of creativity, connectivity, and most of all - getting your novel or story into shape to write!

I recommend coming to this workshop with something already in mind. It could be a well-formed idea or just a loose string of thoughts you've been mulling over for a story. We'll help you get it into shape!
