At THIS IS NOT A FILM CLUB we let you vote for what you’d like to see. From lesser known independent productions to blockbuster films, our selection covers all tastes so you know you’ll find something you love to watch.
Join us in the bar area where we’ll be showing classic and much loved films OR head upstairs to find something a little lesser known and little more challenging.
You can cast your vote to decide what is shown in each room by booking your free ticket and filling in the poll.
The voting will close a few days before the event so don’t forget to check back!
You’ll find out what film you’ll be watching when you arrive and we’ll be asking viewers to rate the film as well as to contribute to a blind vote for next months viewing.
What to expect on the night
The doors to GHT will open from 6.30pm and the bar will be open for you to buy drinks and snacks. The galleries will be open for you to explore the exhibition Present Tense if you’d like to and the screening will begin around 7.30pm depending on the lengths of the films selected. After the screening there will be some time for you to review, chat and leave your suggestions for next months screening!
After you book your place, you’ll receive an email a couple of days before the event with more exact timings and more info.
This event is totally free to attend and we’ll be operating a ‘pay what you feel’ system at the end of the night. If you have a good night and can spare a few pounds we’d really appreciate it. You can also support by buying drinks and snacks at the bar! All funds raised will help us keep these events free and will help to build a community around these events of people who love indie film.
