On Saturday, 14 February 2026, the THIS IS LOVE – #LoveShowsUp fundraiser concert will bring together artists, families, and the Cape Town community for one purpose:

To help save a girl’s life...
Angel is a young girl (23) fighting a brain tumour. On 27 November 2025, doctors confirmed devastating news — Angel’s brain tumour has grown. Since then, her journey has become more urgent, more complex, and more time sensitive. She has faced incredible challenges, having been rushed to the ER Resuscitation Ward twice to be brought back to life, yet she continues to fight with unwavering strength despite the permanent damage caused by the tumor.

As if this were not enough, on 7 January 2026, Angel’s mother received life-altering news of her own. She was informed that she is in kidney failure and will require dialysis or a kidney transplant. She will find out the medical way forward on 4 February 2026. Yet, despite facing her own serious health challenges, Angel’s mother has made her position clear:

“My only wish right now is to save my daughter. I will worry about myself later.”

And so, THIS IS LOVE – #LoveShowsUp was born. This Valentine’s Day fundraiser concert is not about charity for charity’s sake. It is about a mother choosing her child, a community choosing compassion, and love choosing action The event invites the public to come and show their support — to buy a ticket, spend the day together, enjoy incredible live music, and share a laugh through comedy, all while standing behind a family in their most difficult season.

The concert will feature an inspiring line-up of South African talent who have chosen to show up for Angel, including:

From uplifting music to heartfelt laughter, the day promises moments of joy, unity, and hope — because even in the most challenging circumstances, love still prevails here!
