There’s going to be a very special air of romance and passion in Cape Town next Valentine’s Day. Internationally acclaimed entertainer Sally Jones is bringing her award-winning show “PIAF - The Life Story and Songs of EDITH PIAF” - a tribute to the legendary French chanteuse - to the Novalis Ubuntu Institute in Cape Town for one night only on Saturday, 14th February at 8pm. The show takes the audience through a rollercoaster of emotions on a fascinating and thrilling journey through the life story of one of France’s all time national treasures. “Her story is all about love, loss, resilience, tragedy and triumph over adversity” says Sally Jones “What Piaf achieved was truly remarkable.” Described by one critic as “theatrical cabaret at its finest” the show is unlike any other tribute show as its performed in the third person and is fully narrated throughout. At no time does Sally Jones attempt to impersonate Piaf. It’s more of an homage - a loving, entertaining and beautifully told story of one of the greatest and most accomplished performers of all time. With a superbly crafted and moving narration full of sincerity and in a perfect French accent, as well as some ingenious moments of amusing audience participation, Sally Jones’ performance has won critical acclaim in London’s West End with prestigious 5 star reviews.
