Third Annual R.I.S.E. Challenge Hockey Summit on Diversity and Belonging

Join us for the THIRD ANNUAL R.I.S.E. Challenge Hockey Tournament and Summit on Diversity and Inclusion, a dynamic event uniting hockey enthusiasts, stakeholders, and advocates for positive change in the hockey culture.

Last year, R.I.S.E. hosted its second tournament and summit, igniting conversations about diversity and belonging in hockey at Carleton University's Ice House. This year, we're back with an expanded one-day event featuring a 4-on-4 hockey tournament, aiming to engage 17 teams and over 200 (youths aged 13-18,) alongside their parents, coaches, hockey enthusiasts, and hockey executives from Eastern Ontario and surrounding areas.

Our mission is clear: to promote diversity and inclusion in hockey! We welcome diverse hockey groups such as the African Hockey Association, Ottawa Pride, and Hockey 4 Youth, uniting to support positive change within the sport.

The Summit on Diversity and Inclusion will facilitate crucial discussions among attendees, addressing issues of maltreatment and fostering a resounding Call to Action. Together, we'll explore strategies to increase accessibility, promote networking, and create a diverse and inclusive community within hockey.
