The 72nd Edition of the Canadian Tulip Festival is dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Air Force from Friday, May 10 to Monday, May 20, 202, 10 am to 10 pm Daily in Commissioners Park, at Dows Lake.
Join us for our Official Opening Ceremony and Fly-by on Saturday, May 11, at 11 am, when we honor our heroes from the Second World War to today! With high-flying fun in over 300,000 flowers, this FREE Festival is a commemoration and celebration.
Take the self-guided Tulip Legacy Tour, with 7 stops taking you through time. Enjoy free matinee and evening movies, and try the flight simulator! Bring cash for our Food Trucks and shop at our Tulip Market, with 6 handcrafted regional artisans offering unique tulip-themed treasures.
At night, the flowers get funky! Experience the FREE Blacklight Boardwalk from 8 pm to 10 pm - with our Sound & Light Story on every night from 9 pm to 9:15 pm. This year, we celebrate "Operation Manna", a very dangerous low-flying mission that saved millions of lives.
Our Closing Ceremony on Sunday, May 18th, will have our NEW RCAF Drone Show over Dow's Lake at 9:30 pm. Don't miss it!

Pick up official merchandise, fresh cut tulip bouquets, potted tulips and daffodils too! All proceeds support the Canadian Tulip Legacy.
Movies & More in the Park
- FREE Children’s Matinees: 2pm daily.
- FREE Family-Friendly Features: 7pm nightly.
When we aren’t showing movies, we’re playing games! Try a free flight simulator, or have a family Mario Kart race. Take in live Workshops and Special Events!
Blacklight Boardwalk
- Alight from 8pm – 10pm nightly, FREE.
Learn about the importance of pollinators in the only blacklit tulip garden in the world.
See the flowers like the bees and butterflies do, in the glowing UV Spectrum with over 1000 blooms along the Boardwalk.
“Operation Manna” Show
- A FREE 10-minute show starting at 9pm nightly.
Experience “Operation Manna”, one of the most important and enduring RCAF missions of the Second World War.
Located at our Movie Screen. NOTE: Show has Flashing Lights, Fog and Loud Noises.
Palapa Pup Parade
- Saturday, May 18, at 11am.
Starting at Queen Elizabeth Driveway at Preston St., and ending at the Palapa Pup Station Crosswalk. Dress your dog in their very best, and you are entered to WIN 2 Tickets to a Palapa Tour!
