Masterclass by Aurelius Fine Oils

Referred to as ‘liquid gold’ by Homer in the Greek mythology epic the Iliad, olive oil and the olive plant have a rich and fascinating history dating back thousands of years. The olive branch is considered to be a symbol of abundance, glory, and peace; its nectar, olive oil, was even once used as a form of currency in Ancient Greece.
Join local owner/operator, Mike George of Aurelius Fine Oils & Balsamic, as we take a deep-dive into the complex world of high-quality olive oils and balsamic vinegars.
Mike will guide us on proper tasting techniques to distinguish the various aromas and flavours that are key markers for a quality product. We will also explore the rich history, at-home best practices and a few fun facts about this liquid gold.
