Join Mark Rengers at the First National Bank Exhibition Hall to hear from a team of Sewickley community members creating Their Story, a documentary of the unique, thriving community of African American people in Sewickley.

The project team is creating a documentary about the history of the Sewickley African American community that captures and communicates the unique, thriving community of the 18th century through today. People from around the country were drawn to Sewickley for a reason, and by uncovering the stories of past Sewickley residents, Their Story will bring the truth to light. Based on previous research by Bettie Cole, author of Their Story: The History of Blacks/African Americans in Sewickley & Edgeworth, this film will be a tribute to the people of Sewickley whose story shall not be forgotten.
