About this Event
The William Tucker 1624 Society is proud to host its 5th Annual Scholarship Fundraiser, A Jazz Night Out, on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 6:00–9:00 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Hampton, located at 1700 Coliseum Drive in Hampton, Virginia.
As part of our African Landing Commemoration Events, this special evening will feature live entertainment by J Baxter & JAM, heavy hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, door prizes, and an opportunity to celebrate the rich history and cultural legacy of the first Africans who arrived in Virginia.

All proceeds will go directly to scholarships for deserving students in Virginia Public Schools. Your donation will bring us one step closer to meeting our goal of distributing $10,000 in scholarships in 2027.
