Sunday Afternoon Live is delighted to welcome The Wardens for a return engagement at the historic Raymond Theatre on Sunday, February 23 at 2 PM. The Wardens are far more than a musical experience. For this band, the music is a vehicle, a way to take us to The Wild. The Wardens are a trio of Canadian National Park wardens—the real McCoy—park rangers, protectors, “government cowboys” whose real-life wilderness experiences produce the songs they bring to the stage. The Wardens’ mission is to make those experiences come alive for us. Band members are current or retired wardens posted in Canadian national parks in Alberta; the grizzlies, elk, runaway pack horses, and harrowing mountain rescues they sing about are the real thing. Their musical mastery of guitar, mandolin, fiddle, and beautiful harmonies will bring these scenes straight into the listener's heart. We may not be able to visit a warden’s snowy Rocky Mountain cabin in person, but The Wardens will get us there just the same.Tickets for The Wardens will be $25 ($5 for students) at the door (credit card, cash, or check).
