Explore, embrace and express your voice. Sing from the guts. Notice more of you in You.
About this Event

For generations, women's voices have too often been silenced, dismissed or discouraged from being heard in their potential. Many of us have learned to hold back, make ourselves smaller, or feel self-conscious about what and how we say things.

But now it's time to let your voice be voiced!

Would you like to let your voice bloom?

Would you like to look at it with more love and care?

To feel more confident in it?

To give yourself permission to express yourself more freely?

To explore its wild and untamed parts?

To be heard and appreciated for the voice you have right now?

Your voice is your soul's muscle. It carries what lives inside you and brings it into the world. It gives sound to your thoughts, emotions, desires and dreams.

During The Voice of the Wild Woman, we will explore, embrace and express the voice that is already in you. Together, we will create space to discover more of yourself through your voice.

Your voice serves you every day, whether you love it or not. This workshop is an invitation to come home to it and celebrate the feminine voice in all its forms.

THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR YOU IF…

You would like to:

  • Feel more at home in your voice.
  • Express yourself more freely and fully.
  • Build confidence in your voice.
  • Feel more comfortable speaking or singing.
  • Explore and release blocks or tension in your body when using your voice.
  • Feel safer and less self-conscious about your voice.
  • Become less judgemental and more accepting of the way you sound.
  • Get curious about what your voice can do.
  • Reconnect more deeply with yourself.
  • Explore your voice through symbols, imagination and creative practices.
  • Experience the joy of being heard.
  • Discover your voice as a source of freedom and self-expression.
  • Connect with other women through shared experiences.
  • Explore your voice from a feminine perspective.
  • Feel empowered to take up more space with your expression.

This workshop is for every woman who wants to connect more deeply with her inner voice, sing from her guts and explore her wilderness through voice work.

And when I say wild, I mean connected to her nature: natural, intuitive, creative, cyclical and free.

No previous experience is needed. You don't need to consider yourself a singer or have any particular vocal abilities. And if you already have experience with singing or voice work, there will be plenty for you to explore, too.

WHAT WILL WE EXPLORE?
1. Connection & Opening Circle

We'll begin with icebreakers, gentle breathwork and an opening circle to help you arrive in the space and become present.

You'll have a chance to leave your everyday worries at the door and meet the other women.

We'll create a welcoming atmosphere where everyone can show up just as they are.

2. Voice & Body

Our bodies are our unique instruments. Yet, in the busyness of everyday life, forced to tune into 24h cycle, we can sometimes lose touch with them.

We'll gently awaken and warm up our bodies, preparing them to receive and express the voice more fully.

We'll explore the relationship between the voice and the body from the feminine experience, including the natural rhythms and cycles of our bodies.

You'll also discover practical tools and exercises to support your voice, which you can take home and bring into your everyday life.

3. Confidence & Freedom

We'll build trust in the voice you already have.

Rather than trying to change your voice into something it isn't, we'll explore how to appreciate its uniqueness and allow it to take up more space.

Together, in a supportive circle of women, we'll gently challenge some of the judgements, expectations and insecurities we might carry around our voices.

4. Expression

We'll gently expand our comfort zones, one step at a time.

You'll have opportunities to explore different ways of expressing yourself through sound, voice and creative practices.

We'll approach this with curiosity rather than pressure or judgement. There is no right or wrong way to express yourself here.

5. The Joy of Sharing

We'll experience the joy of singing together.

We'll explore singing not as a performance that you have to get right, but as a process: an act of presence, connection and joy

There is something special about sharing our voices. We can discover how powerful it feels to be part of a collective sound, where individual voices come together without needing to compete or impress.

The voice you have right now is enough.

And from that place, there is so much more we can discover.

WHAT MIGHT YOU LEAVE WITH?

You might leave with:

  • A deeper connection with your voice and body.
  • Greater confidence when speaking or singing.
  • More freedom in your self-expression.
  • A greater sense of safety and trust in your voice.
  • Less shame and self-consciousness around the way you sound.
  • A deeper awareness of your natural voice and its possibilities.
  • A more loving and accepting relationship with your voice.
  • The courage to be seen and heard.
  • A renewed sense of aliveness and creative energy.
  • A nourished soul and a deeper connection with your feminine nature.
  • New tools and practices to continue exploring your voice.
  • A heart full of love. ❤️

WHAT WOMEN SAY ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE
RAMUNE
"A huge thank you for such a beautiful and safe space you created in Saturday's workshop. For me it felt like a space of exploration, release, acceptance and embrace. I carried back quite a few insights about the layers of my voice and how I relate to them. (......)You reminded me what my voice do for me and that brought so much gratitude. You also reminded me that it is something that makes me Me. And that's something worth celebrating.Thank you for showing me how colourful our voices are, all of them."

NATALIA
“My main reflection after singing together is that my voice when I sing solo is very deeply wrapped up in shame, whereas when we sing together, that shame completely melts away.
The tension can release, and singing feels absolutely wonderful for the body.
The next day, I experienced a sense of awareness of my voice that I already knew, but hadn’t felt for a long time, a completely different way of feeling and hearing it.”

CONNIE
"The singing circle was so wholesome and comforting and you created such a welcoming space - you have a lovely aura and really put me, and I'm sure everyone else as well, at ease."
AGNIESZKA

"Thank you, Ola, from the bottom of my heart.

You wrapped this whole process in care, in witnessing. You listen so deeply.
And you receive whatever arrives. You were incredibly open throughout this journey. You walked alongside me and brought lightness to something that, at the beginning, felt very difficult and complicated for me.
Thank you for allowing me to flow like this and to welcome the joy of my voice.

WHO AM I?

I'm Ola Carpe, a singer-songwriter, singing teacher and voice workshop facilitator.

I love music and everything that happens when people sing together.

My own relationship with my voice has been a long journey. At the age of 21, I lost my voice, and finding my way back to it became a big part of finding my way back to myself.

Eventually, I graduated in Music from Newcastle University, began writing my own songs and found my way onto the stage.

I'm fascinated by the many layers of the voice: the physical, emotional, creative and symbolic. I love exploring Jungian psychology, dreams and intuitive approaches to art, while also being curious about research into how singing and using our voices can affect our wellbeing and health.

I love bringing these different worlds together: the intuitive and the practical, the creative and the evidence-based.

And at the heart of it all is something very simple:

I want more people to sing.

I want people to love their voices.

I want to help make the collective voice of women stronger.

Not because everyone needs to become a singer, but because I believe there is something incredibly powerful about feeling your voice in your body, and trusting its power.

I believe every woman deserves the space to explore her voice without shame, comparison or the need to get it right.

Come and give your voice some love.

I can't wait to hear you. ❤️
