Remember when you were a kid and throwing yourself against a wall to do a handstand was just... fun? No hesitation, no second-guessing, no fear of what happened if you didn't quite make it. Somewhere along the way, most of us lost that. This lab is about finding it again - with a little more awareness and a lot less ego than your seven-year-old self had.
Inversions are one of the most exciting and most misunderstood areas of a yoga practice. For many of us, they sit somewhere between "maybe one day" and "absolutely not" - and the missing piece is rarely strength. It's preparation, alignment, and, honestly, the mental game of learning to trust yourself upside down. This 2-hour lab breaks it all down properly.
We'll explore headstand and the options available to get there safely. We'll look at forearm conditioning work that builds the foundation your inversions need, and some playful wall work with handstand. Throughout, we'll talk honestly about fear - what it is, why it shows up, and how to work with it rather than against it. Alignment first, depth later. Always.
This is not a "nail your headstand today" workshop. It's the work that makes everything after it possible - and it's meant to be fun!
