Description
Explore self-expression through pinch pot monsters! In this workshop, you’ll learn basic hand building skills to create and attach details like eyeballs, tentacles, horns, teeth, tails, – wherever your imagination takes you! This class is open to all ages, and all skill levels.
Day One:
In the first session, students will begin by creating a pinch pot (an essential building block for many ceramic projects!). Then, students will learn how to use the slip and score technique to add all sorts of monster appendages - teeth, tentacles, horns - whatever your monster needs!
Day Two:
Students will learn how to apply glaze to their monsters, giving them a new shine and polished look!
Please note that all pieces will be ready for pick up 3-4 weeks after the end of class. An email will be sent to students when their artwork is ready.
*The Art Center does not offer class exchanges. Refunds are only provided if the Art Center cancels the class.
Instructor
Amber Flores is a former elementary school art teacher turned restaurant owner. She is passionate about all forms of art and expressions of creativity, and her classes are intended to be fun and informative, while giving students a safe and friendly place to explore their creative side!
