"With influences ranging from power pop to prog rock, the Vanguard emerged on the Winston-Salem, N.C., music scene in the early 1980s and for the next decade thrilled fans with energetic live shows, ambitious original songs and unconventional covers. Now, after a decades-long hiatus, the band is playing a few select shows. Don’t miss these extraordinary players including Jon Heames (veteran of the Raleigh music scene and formerly of Let’s Active, Motocaster and the Backsliders); Mike Chamis (longtime Winston-Salem band leader and music teacher); Paul Dillon (guitarist, singer and Winston-Salem native); and Frank Watson (drummer/keyboardist with Triangle-area bands the Had Matters, Lowbrow, the wonderwhys and the Circus)."

"Classic indie guitar rock with a retro vibe… Los Picaros is a North Carolina based band comprised of members from some of NC’s most popular bands including Arrogance, Motocaster, Glassmoon, Tonk, Boot and Bandway. Consisting of two guitars, bass and drums, LOS PICAROS rocks the house with songs from classic rock albums of Big Star, Teenage Fanclub, Creedence Clearwater, Blue Oyster Cult, NRBQ and many other favorite rock bands from the 60s through the 90s."
