Winter is the perfect time to plan your garden with future food preservation activities in mind. A University of Maine Cooperative Extension Master Food Preserver and a UMaine Extension Horticulture Professional will team up to offer tips for choosing best produce varieties for canning, how much to plant for your household size, and an overview of preserving methods like canning and freezing. Pre-registration is preferred. Registered participants will receive a follow up email with relevant resources.

This free program is co-hosted by the Skowhegan Free Public Library and the University of Maine Cooperative Extension.
