The Truth About Wolves - Colorado Wild at Our Wild Origin Nature Connection Group

You are invited to Our Wild Origin Nature Connection’s July Meet! Join us for a special presentation by Becca Sue from Colorado Wild and an exclusive wolfdog interaction from Silas. 🐺
🐾We can’t wait to see you at our meet & greet with Silas. He is an 86% Grey Wolf wolfdog who LOVES to meet new people! However, we never make him do anything he doesn't want to and we never ask him to preform.
📖The presentation will be a summary of the science behind coexisting with wolves. We will answer questions like, "What happened to wolves?," "What's going on with Colorado's wolves?," and "What good are wolves, anyway?". We will teach you how to howl like a wolf and give you ways to help our wild friends.
🙌 Class will be at Red Crags located at 302 El Paso, Blvd Manitou Springs, from 11 am - 12 pm.
✨FREE to those who are unable to donate the suggested $15 - $30. We welcome kiddos to attend with their parents, an entertaining and educational event for the whole family!
🥾 During our FREE friends hike, Austin and Iraiah will lead exercises to help us use our senses to make observations as we explore Red Rock Canyon. During this time, you’ll learn about our local environment by practicing plant ID basics, animal tracking tips/tricks, and bird song awareness.
📍At 9 am we will meet at Red Rock Canyon Open Space, 3550 W High St, Colorado Springs, at the West Parking lot off of High Street. When you enter the roundabout, take the first exit to your right. You will see us waiting near the porta-potty. We are going to hike the shaded Contemplative Trail against the Red Rocks. We will hike until 10:30 and head back to Mantiou for class!

📝And make sure to follow Colorado Wild and all the work Becca Sue is making happen in the community. Her background adds beautiful layers to her passion for wolves stemming from her Ecology degree earned at the University of North Texas. Here she participated in biological field studies in Texas and the southern tip of Chile. She has been working with wild canids in captivity and working as a science educator for about six years. Come learn about all she has to share!
