Sets 6pm & 7:30pmThe Triumvirate is an Ann Arbor based group featuring drummer Alex Sherk, bassist Desmond Lorenz, and pianist Zach Michalec. The group was formed while the members were attending high school together in Ann Arbor, hailing from the Community High School jazz program. They have influences ranging from many eras of jazz, with much of their focus on the Ray Brown trio, the Bill Evans trio, and the music of John Coltrane, Miles Davis, and Kenny Garret. Their show involves interactive arrangements of well-known jazz standards and original compositions built for a high-energy and hard swinging show.
