The Temple of Sound - A Cacao & Sound Journey Experience

Sound is a powerful tool to help access deeper levels of relaxation and meditation. Coupled with conscious breathing, this practice assists in the breaking through of old stuck energy to make way for a more clear and empowered you.

The simple remembrance that everything around us, is, and will always be in motion through vibration and frequency. Sound is one of the building blocks in our shared reality and is believed to be the language of the cosmos. From the sound of ocean waves, to a room full of laughter, or the sound of a flute and the beating of a drum, it all carries a message we can understand. It also has the undeniable ability to be one of the strongest anchors in keeping us in the present moment.

At the beginning of the workshop we share our names and our intentions for the experience. This helps anchor the energy in the room and creates a space to feel safe and seen to allow healing and rest to accrue.

We will then enjoy a cup of delicious homemade cacao to invite peace and relaxation into our bodies. Cacao has been used historically to honor life, communities, birth, and spiritual development. It is the most pure and raw form of chocolate. We have sourced ours from an amazing small family business in Northern Nicaragua called "Bhavana Cacao" that takes beautiful care of their land and workers. It's a delicious drink that will pair wonderfully with the sound journey. It is dairy, soy, gluten-free, and chemical-free.

We then transition into guided meditation and light breathwork to prime the body and mind for the sound journey to begin. Listening to instruments such as singing bowls, frame drums, flutes, voice, and didgeridoo, there is no limit to your transformational potential.

Leave your expectations at the door and be ready to feel more connected to yourself and each other.

Dustin Borlack is a world-class musician and has been facilitating sound healing workshops for the past 8 years. Driven by his own powerful experiences with conscious breathing and sound healing, he is inspired more than ever to share the potency of these practices combined.

Sacha Foxx is a master-level comedian, character actor, improviser, and musician from Chicago. She is known for her rich characters and her shamanic practices. She believes that music is incredibly powerful and gives us the ability to feel our emotions deeply, as well as the ability to quiet the mind and open the heart. Dustin is one of her greatest friends, and she is honored to share this experience with him!

The Space: We are so grateful to be able to have Center Street - A Place for the Heart host our event! Center Street is an incredibly beautiful temple that is growing into the finest community of people!
