The Superhero Charity Long WalkThis event marks a community charity walk taking place on Sunday 19th July 2026 along The Long Walk in Windsor.
The walk is being held in memory of my mum — my real-life superhero. During the last week of her life, she received outstanding care from Thames Hospice, something our family will always be grateful for.
While the walk begins with my mum, it is also for all the real-life superheroes in our lives — whether they are still with us, or watching over us.
Alongside fundraising, this is also about encouraging open conversations around mental health and the importance of seeking support early.
Thames Hospice have an exciting art trail with giant painted elephant sculptures, which we will be passing as part of the 'Trunks across the Thames' trail. They are also on a mission to encourage open and honest conversations, and we hope you can enjoy their creations along the way.
While the walking group itself will be kept small, anyone is very welcome to come along and cheer us on along The Long Walk as we make our way towards Windsor Castle.
