Palace to Palace: The Brompton Bridges Inter Livery Charity Ride 2026

ONE RIVER. TWO PALACES.
Join the Worshipful Company of Chartered Architects and The Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors on a cycle ride on Brompton bikes from Windsor Castle to Hampton Court Palace, a scenic journey along the River Thames. From the Gothic splendour of Windsor to the grandeur of Hampton Court, this ride traces a unique architectural and landscape journey along the Thames. Enjoy camaderie and friendly conversation, while raising funds for the Lady Mayor's Appeal.

The journey is a gentle 40 km (25 miles) on level mixed terrain, on the Thames path and quiet riverside lanes, cycled at a social pace. The ride will conclude with a refreshment stop and networking, offering a fantastic opportunity for inter-livery fellowship. The event is open for seasoned cyclists or casual riders, so roll out your Bromptons.

Registration fee includes an exclusive souvenir T-shirt.

Please note:

• Brompton bicycles only – possible to hire at most central London stations for £5
• Ride in small groups
• Please bring water, helmet & spares
• Mixed surfaces—steady riding throughout
• Return journey: Trains from Hampton Court to London Waterloo (~35 minutes)
• Donation details for Lady Mayor's fund to follow

08:30 — Service in St Georges Chapel, Windsor Castle (optional)

09:30 — Assemble for Coffee, briefing & photos at Cinnamon Café, The Old Booking Hall, Windsor Royal Station, SL4 1PJ

10:00 — Depart from Windsor Castle

11:15 — Regroup - Staines-upon-Thames

12:30 — Coffee stop – Walton-on-Thames

13:30–14:00 — Finish - Hampton Court Palace
