The Sundara Space: Full Moon Ceremony | Hunter’s Moon
About this Event
About the Full Moon Ceremony 🌕✨
We spend so much time and energy caring about how we look. The Sundara Space is about giving that same attention to how we feel.
Our Full Moon Ceremony is a chance to step away from the usual pace of life and make some time for yourself.
To slow down, move, reflect and deeply rest.
What to expect 🌸
We begin with movement 🧘🏼♀️
We’ll start with a gentle, beginner-friendly yoga practice to slowly warm and tire the body, helping the mind become quieter, clearer and more present. We’ll move with the breath, release the day and begin to settle into the ceremony.
Then, we gather 🍓
After yoga, we’ll pause for food and drinks, giving you time to connect with the people around you, enjoy the space and share a slower moment together before we move into our Full Moon Ritual.
We reflect & release 🌕🔥
At the heart of the ceremony is our Full Moon Ritual. Through guided journaling, we’ll explore the theme of 'Lovingly Letting Go', recognising what we’re ready to release, appreciating what it may have given or taught us and considering what we’d like to create space for next.
You’ll then be invited to write down something you’re ready to lovingly let go of and offer it to the fire as a symbolic act of release. Whatever you choose to release is yours alone. Nothing needs to be shared.
You'll receive your own Sundara journal to keep, which you can bring back to future ceremonies and gradually fill with your reflections over time.
And finally, we rest ✨
Get cosy beneath the blankets and settle into a guided Yoga Nidra accompanied by a live sound bath. Sometimes known as yogic sleep, Yoga Nidra allows the body to deeply rest while the mind remains gently aware.
There’s nothing to achieve here. Simply get comfortable, close your eyes and allow yourself to rest.
🌕 October’s Theme — Lovingly Let Go
The Hunter’s Moon traditionally marked a time of preparation for the season ahead. This October, we’ll take inspiration from this by considering what we want to carry forward and what we’re ready to leave behind.
Sometimes the things we hold onto have served us well for a particular season. A habit, expectation, belief, relationship, routine or even a version of ourselves. Letting go doesn’t mean rejecting what was; we can recognise it, appreciate what it gave or taught us, and gently release what we no longer need to carry.
Our intention for the evening will be:
I lovingly let go.
A journey of recognising, appreciating and releasing. Creating space for what comes next. 🌕✨
Everything is taken care of 🤍
Everything you need for the ceremony will be waiting for you, from yoga mats and ceremony materials to your journal and everything you need to get cosy for Yoga Nidra.
Food and drinks will be provided throughout, along with a few thoughtful Sundara touches and something little to take home with you.
All you need to do is wear something comfortable that you can move and relax in. As we may spend parts of the ceremony outside, we recommend bringing a warm jumper or extra layer to wrap up in as the evening gets cooler.
Other than that, just bring yourself... we’ll take care of the rest. 🌕✨
No previous experience of yoga, meditation or Full Moon ceremonies is needed.Everything is an invitation, and you're always welcome to take the evening at your own pace.
A little about the space 🌿
Our ceremony takes place at Fickle Fields in the Essex countryside, a beautiful private space where we can step away from everyday life for a few hours. We’ll move between cosy indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the ceremony, surrounded by nature, candlelight and all the little details that make a Sundara experience feel special.
Coming alone? Please do. 🤍
You absolutely don’t need to come with someone. Part of Sundara is creating a space where you can arrive exactly as you are, meet like-minded people if you want to, or simply enjoy some time for yourself.
Never done anything like this before?
You don’t need to be flexible, spiritual, experienced in yoga or know anything about the Full Moon. Everything will be gently guided from beginning to end, and you're always free to participate in whatever way feels comfortable for you.
Your host 🌞
The evening will be hosted by Olivia, founder of The Sundara Space and a qualified yoga and breathwork teacher, alongside our sound practitioner for the live sound bath.
Sundara was created from a simple belief: we should put just as much energy into how we feel as we do how we look. Every part of the ceremony has been thoughtfully created around that idea.
