One campus. Countless species. One day to discover them.
About this Event

Join us for a campus-wide BioBlitz celebrating the wildlife and biodiversity found across the University grounds, and appreciating our wonderful campus!

Over the course of a couple of hours, you will be shown how to identify a range of species and then taken on a guided exploration of the campus to record the wildlife we find, including birds, mammals, insects and (maybe!) hedgehogs.

The BioBlitz is a chance for students, staff and the wider University community to get outdoors, connect with nature, and contribute to recording biodiversity data – all while discovering the species living alongside us in an urban environment.

This BioBlitz forms part of SOS-UK Nature Friendly Grounds, a 2-year pilot that the University is involved in to encourage greater awareness, protection and enhancement of biodiversity. This BioBlitz will help us better understand the wildlife on our campus while inspiring our community to become more nature-friendly.

This event is organised by Sustainable Strathclyde and your student Biodiversity Officers, Temi and Mariam! We hope to see you there!
