Atlanta Dramatists, in collaboration with the Academy Theatre and Town Square Playhouse, is presenting "The Solidarity Project: A Celebration of Historical Nonviolent Protest" from March 28 until April 5 at Academy Theatre, and then on April 17 and 18 at Town Square Playhouse.The full list of scripts are (in alphabetical order):

--"Charlie's Choice" by Tammy Caplan
--"Growl" by J. Lois Diamond
--"Help Me/Shoot Me" by Danielle Wirsansky
--"Mum Bett" by Melanie Payne
--"Poise and Grace" by Debra A. Cole
--"Raise Less Corn and More Hell! (Annie Diggs: A Prairie Populist)" by Lavinia Roberts
--"The Reading Lesson" by Carlos Jerome
--"Seventy-Eight Steps" by Derek Zakari
--"Signing Day" by Linda Green
--"Typhus in Wartime" by James McLindon
The topics included in these scripts are: Vietnam, Civil Rights, disability rights, women's rights, Iranian Revolution, fighting the draft, anti-oppression poetry, activist journalism, folk music, the Holocaust, voter suppression laws, picketing, boycotting, educating others, and more. We feel there is a nice combination of tragedy, comedy, music, dance, poetry, and historical lessons here for all audiences to learn from and experience.
Auditions will be held on January 31, and the performances will take place from March 28 to April 5 at the Academy Theatre in Hapeville, GA, and from April 17-18 at Town Square Playhouse in Fayetteville, GA.
