A celebration of America’s 250th anniversary through the timeless music of jazz.
About this Event

Join us at The Sanctuary Studio for a special Independence Day concert as studio owner Simon Drew and his quartet celebrate America’s 250th anniversary through the timeless music of the American tradition.

Drawing from the rich legacy of the Great American Songbook, the evening will feature beloved classics made famous by artists such as Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Nat King Cole, and Ella Fitzgerald. Presented in the intimate setting of The Sanctuary Studio, this performance offers an opportunity to experience the music, stories, and spirit that have shaped generations of American culture.

Simon Drew is an Australian musician, poet, and founder of The Sanctuary Studio for the Arts & Humanities. As a singer and trumpeter, he has performed around the world with his jazz quartet and appeared at renowned venues, festivals, and aboard the world’s largest cruise ships. Since immigrating to the United States in 2022, Simon has become an active part of the Southern California arts community, performing regularly throughout Orange County and Los Angeles while building a vibrant artistic home in Downtown Santa Ana.

For this special performance, Simon will be joined by an outstanding ensemble of Southern California musicians for an evening of swinging rhythms, memorable melodies, and American musical heritage.

Seating is limited, so reserve your tickets early. We look forward to celebrating Independence Day—and 250 years of American history—with you!
