Next Synth meet is 21st of April, 6:30 to 9pm at Howler Theatre room. (Back room) Entry is FREE!First hour - Synth meet. Bring in a piece of gear, share and chat hardware. (See instructions below).
Then - Ntrol performs for us. Expect a stellar performance by Ntrol who will bring along his classic Korg Radias and MS2000.
Last hour - Noisegate presents Korg Phase 8.
The Phase8 is an eight-voice acoustic synthesizer that merges the sonic richness of the physical world with precise electronic control. The latest Acoustic Synthesis technology developed at Korg. There will be a demo and Q&A presented by Lachlan from Noisegate. There will be some Phase 8's to try, as well as a range of the latest and greatest from Korg to play and synth nerd out on. There may even be a prize on the night (TBC).
Instructions on the synth share: Every synth meet, in the first hour, it's 'bring a synth to share'. It can be anything from a groovebox, drum machine, synth or any electronic music making box. Feel free to play with all the synths in the room, except for the live jam setup (should be in the middle of the room). There is a strictly "no drink over synths" policy. Unless it's your synth, in which case it's at your own risk! If you do plan on bringing gear (of any description) please get in touch so we make sure there is ample table space. Bring a pair of headphones as well please. Patrons also feel free to bring your own pair of headphones if that makes you more comfortable.
Note it's 'burger night' at Howler. Good quality cheap burger and a beer.
See you there.
6:30-7:30pm - Synth meet & share.
7:30-8pm - Ntrol live.
8-9pm - Noisegate presents Korg Phase 8.
Big thanks to Kevin of Stable Music and Howler for providing us with this space.
The Signal Path synth meet is a safe space. Zero tolerance on discrimination, harassment or any other emotional or physical harm. Dickheads will be shown the door.
The Signal Path acknowledges the traditional owners of the land on which we will be meeting, and to the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
The Signal Path supports the call for an end to the genocide in Gaza and right of self determination of the Palestinian people and creation of a Palestinian State. The Signal Path supports all people of Jewish faith and birth to live free of persecution and stands with the Jewish people around the globe calling for an end to the genocide. We stand with the people of Sudan and call for an end to that genocide. And we stand with the people of Iran and call for the end of slaughter of innocent civilians and an end to a brutal regime. We call and end to the war in Iran and Lebanon. We call for all people around the globe to human rights and the freedom of self determination.
