Join us June 20th for an unforgettable evening with Willow Avalon, one of country music’s most compelling new voices. Blending classic country, Americana, and pop influences, her sound is both rooted and refreshingly modern; driven by sharp songwriting, a rebellious spirit, and an unmistakable stage presence.
From her debut album Southern Belle Raisin’ Hell to performances on stages like the Grand Ole Opry, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and major festivals around the world, Willow has quickly built a reputation for electrifying live shows. Her music tells stories that are raw, honest, and deeply personal, capturing both the grit and charm of a modern Southern perspective.
Set inside our beautifully restored 1920s barn, this concert is part of The Series at Lavender Hill Farm, an intimate summer music experience where nationally touring artists perform for Northern Michigan audiences in a one-of-a-kind farm setting.
Arrive early to picnic on the lawn, enjoy pre-show music in the amphitheater, and spend the evening surrounded by music, community, and the beauty of the farm.
About the Artist: WILLOW AVALON
Originally from Georgia and now based in Nashville, Willow Avalon’s musical journey began with her first word, “Elvis.” Raised by her mother and grandmother in a small Southern town, she grew up playing piano in church and taught herself guitar at age 12, using songwriting as both an escape and a means of self-expression through a life-journey that has been anything but straight-forward. Her much-praised 2025 debut album, Southern Belle Raisin’ Hell, cemented her as one of country music’s most compelling new voices, blending classic country, Americana, and pop influences.
Willow Avalon has performed at The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, CBS Mornings, and the Grand Ole Opry, as well as festivals like Stagecoach, C2C, CMA, and Lollapalooza, bringing her electrifying presence to global audiences. With a sharp wit and rebellious spirit, she has shared stages with legends and rising stars alike, including Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, Zach Bryan, Cage the Elephant, Paul Cauthen, Charles Wesley Godwin, and more. Solidified by sold-out headline tours in North America, Europe, and Australia, as well as hundreds of millions of views across social content, Willow Avalon is redefining what it means to be a modern Southern story.
About the Local Ground Artist: i.am.james
An Interlochen Arts Academy graduate and Berklee College of Music drop-out, Sierra spent her early twenties splitting time between Nashville, TN and her home state of Michigan, touring both as a solo act and fronting a trio.
In 2022 she released a string of singles written and recorded in Nashville that earned several big playlist placements and features in indie music blogs, being noted as “heart-ache to dance to.” Swirling around the edge of all things alternative, the first releases of i.am.james. are an unusual cocktail of captivating melodies and heart-bearing lyrics tied together in a sonically lush vibe. i.am.james. embarked on a lengthy summer tour in 2022 reaching crowds both large and small across the Midwest with acoustic versions of these releases.
After returning to her Northern Michigan roots in 2023, Sierra began recording her first full length project with the help of Michael Dause of TreeTone Studios. Recorded in a cottage deep in the snow covered woods of Northern Michigan, the project reflects this scene; intimate and transformative, drawing sonic influence from artists like Pinegrove, KT Tunstall, and Maggie Rogers. The project is a reflective of the contemporary folk and indie rock sound i.am.james. delivered while on a 2024 summer tour, with performances at major Michigan music festivals like Bliss Festival and Wheatland Music Festival.
