About this Event
🎨 The Secret Artists Club – (Ages 6–11)
Playful Artists, Mindful Makers
Step into a world of color, imagination, and calm. Each week children will discover the story of a brilliant female or non-binary artist from around the world – from Alma Thomas’s joyful dot paintings to Maria Prymachenko’s magical animals.
Through storytelling, mindfulness activities, and hands-on art projects, children learn not only about art history, but also how to slow down, notice, and express themselves creatively.
- Learn about a new artist each week (Alma Thomas, Frida Kahlo, Maria Prymachenko, Hilma AF Klimt, Georgia O'Keefe, Lois Mailou Jones)
- Explore painting, collage, and mixed-media play
- Practice simple mindfulness tools (breathing, noticing, journaling)
- Build confidence, curiosity, and creativity
- End with a mini exhibition to celebrate their work
No art experience needed – just curiosity and imagination!
