We are excited to announce our next event in the Academy of Medicine, Physiotherapy & Science in Sports series, featuring Professor Asker Jeukendrup, PhD.
Professor Jeukendrup is internationally recognised for his pioneering work in sports nutrition and exercise physiology, bridging the gap between scientific evidence and high-performance practice through his research, publications, and online platform, Mysportscience. Many of you will also be familiar with his textbook Sport Nutrition, a core reference in the field. As an active endurance athlete himself, Asker combines high-level scientific rigor with a deep understanding of the practical realities of training and competition.
For this lecture, he will focus on The Athlete’s Gut—a critical, often complex topic with direct implications across disciplines, performance levels, and age groups.
The lecture will be organised by the Luxembourg Institute for High Performance in Sports (LIHPS) in the framework of the lecture series of the Luxembourg Academy of Medicine, Physiotherapy & Science in Sports. It will be given in English and is open to the general public. The presentation will last approximately 45 minutes, followed by a Q&A session. We hope to see you there!
